Lipolysis procedure is mild compared to most cosmetic treatments, and so far there have been no reports of severe adverse complications. However, patients usually experience:

  • A mild redness and swelling of the skin occurs following the procedure which usually resolves within 3 to 5 days.
  • Mild bruising also occurs and this usually resolves after 7 days
  • Small lumps that are painless, invisible and transient

Rare complications:

  • Nerve injury that can result in an uneven smile
  • Difficulty swallowing after the procedure

Contraindications

  • Pregnant women and breastfeeding moms
  • Before and during menstruation
  • Diabetics
  • Patients with cardiovascular diseases
  • Patients with certain allergies
  • Patients who currently have or used to have malignant disorders
  • Patients with blood disorders
  • Patients with kidney diseases
  • Obese patients
  • Children
